This one day intensive workshop, Precision Medicine in Practice, was held on the front end of the Latin American Precision Medicine (ALAMP) symposium. Over 175 health care providers from Latin America learned how to implement pharmacogenomics and genetic predisposition testing into practice. This half-day workshop is held annually in conjunction with the Molecular Medicine Tri-Conference in San Francisco. It is intended for conference attendees who wish to gain genomic literacy in advance of attending the main conference.
Genetic Variant Interpretation Workshop
In this hands-on workshop sponsored by UC Berkeley Extension, students learned about human genome variation, explored public databases linking genetic variation to disease, and worked through real clinical cases to classify variants based on American College of Medical Genetics and Genomics (ACMG) guidelines.
Precision Medicine in Practice - Connecticut
A two-day workshop for a small group of concierge medicine practitioners eager to be on the leading edge of medicine. Topics included Genomics 101, predisposition testing, direct-to-consumer genetic testing and pharmacogenomics (with complementary testing provided by OneOme).
